What a great review! Thank you for doing this. There are so many people reading these books and watching the movies, it is helpful to be able to dissect the plot and truly understand what the author is trying to convey.

In some ways it is a commentary on today’s society. There are many evils that exist, and while some people stand up for the truth, many others do not. Because they feel oppressed, because they feel they are alone. This is exactly what the Capitol does in this movie. It separates the country into 12 districts so people feel lonely. There is no communication between the districts, so how can they rise up in protest? If the adults DO rise up, their food is taken away, their children killed. Oppression.

While this series isn’t for everyone, it is helpful for those that are in the world to read a review like this and be challenged to think deeper. Thank you for the amazing review!!

I was surprised that you were able to put a positive spin on such a troubling subject as kid on kid violence. It is disturbing that these books were targeted to tweens. I have a 13 yr old and will NOT let him see this movie. The review does not address the authors possibly intended lack of hope or GOD in the movie. Where there is GOD there is hope.

Also troubling, is the lack of an adult voice of outrage in the movie. Where are the adults? I suppose we all have a choice to make and we can either choose to participate or not regardless of the consequence. Just like current TV shows, we can vote with our remote. Don’t watch the nonsense and it will not stay on TV.

I can only hope that this series goes away quickly.

I think the main element of this movie was that Po had a wound buried deep in his past and did not want to feel it out. Once he accepts the truth and heals his wound he can go on to become the best kung fu fighter and defeat the peacock

I really wish they would break up, because I love Selena But I hate Justin. Then If I met Selena she wouldn’t talk about Justin Beiber. She has to be single . She has to she has to she has to. And if she was single she would be more famous because some peaple love Selena, but hate Justin. So Selena if your reading this you really should take my advice because my cousin used to like you but she dosn’t anymore because you are dating Justin Beiber.
