It does a good job of making you feel sorry for the heroine and causing you to admire her courage. It does have some good acting, and it is authentically funny at times.
Wouldn’t really recommend it. The attitude that it portrays towards sex is very superficial. And it is not really necessary to portray Christian teens as totally stupid and/or hypocritical to get the desired point across. It would be more believable if it didn’t do that.
But if you do see/or already have seen it, I would recommend at least taking the lesson that gossip is a waste of time and totally un-Christian. Try to work on talking about people’s good qualities instead. We all have failings, some of them big, but we also have good things going on in our lives. We can use our desire to talk about others as a way to promote the good things in others, not tear them down.
